DevOps Engineer

Job Description The DevOps Engineer supports the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the CI/CD and DevOps toolchain used by software development teams, including build pipeline support, artifact and vulnerability scanning, test management integration, and observability platforms. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role focused on platform administration, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operational support. Work is performed in accordance with established Client DevOps Handbook standards and supports the broader team’s delivery, quality, and security objectives.

What You Will Do CI/CD Pipeline Support

• Support day-to-day administration of the CI/CD platform (e.g., Jenkins/CloudBees CI) running on Kubernetes, including build agent troubleshooting and pipeline configuration support.
• Assist with source control integration (e.g., GitHub), webhook configuration, and diagnosing build failures.
• Monitor pipeline performance and report on recurring issues or degradations.

Artifact & Security Scanning

• Support administration of the artifact repository platform (e.g., JFrog Artifactory), including repository structure, retention, and access requests.
• Assist with vulnerability scanning workflows (e.g., JFrog Xray), tracking findings and coordinating remediation with development teams.

Test Management & Code Quality Tooling

• Support test case management platform administration and integration with issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Assist with code quality platform integration (e.g., SonarQube) into CI/CD pipelines and monitor quality gate results.

Observability & Performance Testing

• Support dashboard configuration and platform monitoring (e.g., Grafana/Prometheus).
• Assist with operation of performance and load testing tooling (e.g., Apache JMeter-based platforms).

DevSecOps Practices & Documentation

• Follow DevOps Handbook standards for CI/CD security gates, progressive delivery, secrets management, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Support delivery metrics reporting and basic observability/reliability tasks.
• Maintain accurate platform documentation, runbooks, and configuration records; collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot pipeline and tooling issues.

Systems And Tools Knowledge Required

• Working knowledge of the following:
• CI/CD: Jenkins/CloudBees CI, Kubernetes, GitHub
• Artifact & security scanning: JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Xray
• Test management: TestRail, JIRA, Confluence
• Observability: Grafana, Prometheus
• Code quality: SonarQube
• Performance testing: Apache JMeter
• Cloud/infrastructure: AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements What We Need :

• 4+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins/CloudBees CI) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes/EKS).
• Experience with artifact repository and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (e.g., Grafana/Prometheus) and code quality platforms (e.g., SonarQube).
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, secrets management, and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple cross-functional development teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required background investigation/clearance per client requirements.

Reporting Structure This role reports to the DevOps Lead/Architect and does not carry supervisory responsibility. The DevOps Engineer works closely with development teams and other platform staff to support day-to-day DevOps/DevSecOps operations.

Clearance Requirement

• Ability to obtain and maintain public trust background investigation/clearance per client requirements.
