Mid-Level Python Developer with Kubernetes (USD 3-4K/month CONTRACTOR)

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Software Developer with strong experience in Python (Rust is a plus) to join a fully remote team working on challenging software engineering projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working close to the code, solving complex technical problems, and improving existing systems through modern, high-performance technologies. What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using Python (Rust is a plus)
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Work on the evolution and optimization of existing systems and applications
• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Collaborate with other engineers in a fully remote, international environment
• Participate in the migration and modernization of Python-based systems where applicable
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with Python
• Solid understanding of software architecture, data structures, algorithms, and engineering best practices
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade software
• Fluent English — strong communication skills are essential
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Nice to have

• Experience migrating or rewriting Python applications/services in Rust
• Experience identifying parts of Python systems where Rust can deliver meaningful performance improvements
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, backend development, or performance optimization
• Experience working with international teams
