Job Description
Product Development Specialist, North America
Salt Lake City, Utah Full-Time, Remote Operations DepartmentAbout the Role
At EHPlabs, we’re obsessed with creating products that help people become the best version of themselves. From industry-leading supplements to innovative functional beverages, we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in health, fitness, and performance nutrition.
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, you’ll act as the key connection between our Australia-based Product Development team and our manufacturing partners across the United States, Canada and United Kingdom. No two days look the same. One day you might be evaluating flavor samples with a manufacturing partner, the next you’re approving a first production run, troubleshooting a product issue, or helping launch a new innovation into the market.
You’ll play a critical role in accelerating product development timelines, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring seamless execution across our growing portfolio of supplements, beverages, and functional nutrition products. Beyond hands-on product development and commercialization, we’re looking for someone who brings curiosity, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach to innovation. You’ll be expected to identify emerging consumer trends, challenge existing approaches, and independently drive product development initiatives forward while collaborating with our global teams.
This role is ideally based in the Salt Lake City area, where many of our key manufacturing and ingredient partners are located. We are prioritizing candidates who are local or willing to relocate, though we welcome applications from across the US for those willing to travel to the area regularly based on business needs.
What You’ll Own
Product Development & Commercialization
- Lead sensory evaluations, sample testing, and product approvals across our US manufacturing network
- Coordinate first production runs and support successful commercialization of new products
- Review and approve flavor, ingredient, packaging, and finished product samples
- Act as the final on-the-ground quality and product checkpoint before products move into market
- Identify opportunities to improve product quality, consistency, and speed-to-market
- Independently drive product development initiatives, proactively resolving challenges and identifying opportunities to accelerate timelines from concept through commercialization.
- Evaluate existing product formulations and recommend improvements based on evolving consumer needs, market trends, and commercial opportunities.
Manufacturing & Supplier Partnerships
- Serve as the primary liaison between EHPlabs and our manufacturing partners across the US and UK
- Build strong relationships with manufacturers, flavor houses, ingredient suppliers, and packaging vendors
- Support onboarding, qualification, and setup of new manufacturing partners
- Attend production trials, line runs, and facility visits as required
- Help resolve manufacturing, quality, and product-related issues quickly and effectively
- Leverage industry relationships and proactively identify new manufacturing, ingredient, and formulation partners to support innovation and accelerate product development timelines.
Product Operations & Technical Support
- Own day-to-day product queries across all active US SKUs
- Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to resolve technical product matters
- Maintain product specifications, approvals, testing records, and supporting documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across product development and manufacturing operations
- Ensure projects move forward efficiently while maintaining EHPlabs quality standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product Development, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Commercial teams
- Provide regular updates on project timelines, risks, approvals, and manufacturing readiness
- Support launch planning and execution activities across multiple product categories
- Help drive stronger alignment between global product strategy and regional execution
About You
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in product development, formulation, or R&D, including direct involvement in bringing new products to market. Experience within sports nutrition, supplements, or functional beverages is strongly preferred.
