Experienced Angular, .Net, SQL Developer

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced full-stack Application Developer to join our remote engineering team. This role contributes directly to the development and enhancement of our core operations execution platform and supporting tools.

Our platform is built on an n-tier architecture that includes an Angular front-end, C#/.NET middle tiers for APIs and business logic, and a Microsoft SQL Server data layer. The role involves full-stack development responsibilities across the user interface, application services, and data tiers.

The Application Developer will design, build, test, and maintain enterprise software applications primarily built on the Microsoft technology stack. Responsibilities include developing responsive Angular user interfaces, building secure and performant RESTful APIs in .NET, and designing and optimizing SQL Server databases. The developer will work closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers in an Agile development environment to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

Essential Functions

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive single-page applications using Angular and related technologies.
• Build modular and reusable UI components following established coding standards and best practices.
• Implement client-side business logic, form validation, and application state management.
• Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with UX, product, and manufacturing stakeholders, including planners, schedulers, supervisors, operations leaders, and IT/data owners, to translate workflows and requirements into functional interfaces.
• Develop user-facing operational dashboards, reports, data visualizations, and workflow interfaces that support manufacturing decisions.

Backend / API Development

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using C# and .NET Core.
• Implement business logic and application services within the middle application tiers.
• Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and performant.
• Collaborate with other developers to maintain clean architecture and consistent service design patterns.

Database Development and Data Management

• Design, develop, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Write complex queries, stored procedures, and database functions.
• Develop and maintain logical and physical data models.
• Optimize database performance through indexing strategies, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.
• Develop and support ETL processes and data integration workflows for customer and internal data sources.
• Integrate data from ERP, MES, shop floor control, planning, and related systems using REST APIs, SQL, ETL tools, message queues, flat files, EDI, or other appropriate technologies.
• Map and validate source data, including business definitions, keys, relationships, completeness, and data quality, in collaboration with customer subject-matter experts.

Quality and Testing

• Develop and maintain automated tests using industry-standard testing frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to improving overall code quality and system reliability.

DevOps and Collaboration

• Use Git or other source control systems for version management.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.
• Work within an Agile development process including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, product stakeholders, and external contributors.

Security and Performance

• Implement secure coding practices including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Identify and remediate security risks within application and data layers.
• Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.

REQUIRED Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
