UKG Integration Developer

Job Title UKG Integration Developer Location Remote (California Only) Duration 6 Months Contract - Can Extend

Position Overview

• We are seeking an experienced UKG Pro WFM Integration Developer to design, build, test, and support integrations between UKG Pro WFM and enterprise HR, payroll, labor management, and timekeeping systems.
• The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with UKG Pro WFM/Kronos, Boomi or UKG Integration Hub, SQL, REST APIs, and SFTP-based integrations. This is a technical development role, and candidates must have experience building and deploying UKG integrations, not simply monitoring or supporting existing interfaces.
• The developer will also be responsible for analyzing legacy Kronos WFC WIM/Connect interfaces and designing replacement integrations in UKG Pro WFM.

Key Requirements

Candidates must meet all of the following core requirements:

• Hands-on experience building and deploying inbound and outbound UKG Pro WFM integrations using Boomi and/or UKG Integration Hub.
• Strong understanding of the UKG WFM data model, including:
• People/employee data
• Labor levels
• Pay codes
• Punches
• Timecards
• Accrual balances
• Schedules
• Payroll exports
• HR/people imports
• Strong SQL skills with experience validating, reconciling, and troubleshooting data conversion loads.
• Experience reading, analyzing, and documenting existing Kronos WFC WIM/Connect interfaces and designing replacement integrations for UKG Pro WFM.
• 6+ years of software/integration development experience, including hands-on Kronos/UKG WFM integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support inbound and outbound integrations for UKG Pro WFM.
• Build integrations using UKG Integration Hub/Boomi, UKG REST APIs, SFTP, and file-based data exchange.
• Integrate UKG Pro WFM with HR, payroll, labor billing, clock, identity, and other enterprise systems.
• Develop integrations for employee/HR data, payroll hours, pay codes, labor levels, accrual balances, schedules, punches, and timecard data.
• Analyze existing Kronos WFC WIM/Connect interfaces, exports, and scheduled jobs and determine which should be retired, consolidated, or rebuilt.
• Perform field-level data mapping, translations, transformations, and default-value configuration.
• Build, execute, and validate data conversion loads for employees, accrual balances, and historical data.
• Perform data reconciliation and investigate integration/data discrepancies.
• Develop error handling, monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation processes.
• Unit test integrations and support SIT, parallel payroll testing, and UAT.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration defects.
• Create technical and operational documentation for integrations.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and UKG integration consultants.
• Support knowledge transfer and transition integrations to production support teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating Kronos WFC WIM/Connect interfaces to UKG Pro WFM.
• Experience with WDM/DCM, Process Manager, or Workflow.
• Boomi developer certification or UKG Pro WFM integration training.
• Experience integrating UKG with PeopleSoft, UCPath, Workday, or other HCM/payroll systems.
• Experience integrating UKG with IBM Maximo or other asset/work-order management systems.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Step Functions, or EventBridge.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Higher education or healthcare industry experience.

Interview Process

Qualified candidates should be comfortable completing:

1. A 30-minute technical/fit interview
2. A 60-minute technical interview with a live exercise

The technical exercise may cover areas such as interface mapping, pay rule design, data mapping, or integration test-case design.
