Network Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Network Engineer with deep domain expertise in enterprise-grade Wi-Fi and wireless communication technologies, with a strong emphasis on Fortinet and Aruba ecosystems. In this remote role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, securing, troubleshooting, and optimizing our global wireless infrastructure.

You will work closely with security, systems, and global IT teams to ensure high-performance, ultra-reliable, and secure Wi-Fi connectivity across our offices, campuses, and remote facilities.

Key Responsibilities

· Wireless Architecture & Design: Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and deployment of enterprise WLAN solutions utilizing Fortinet (FortiAP/FortiGate/FortiManager) and Aruba (Aruba Central / Mobility Controllers), alongside RF site surveys using tools like Ekahau.

· Implementation & Configuration: Configure, manage, and audit wireless access points, wireless controllers, and cloud management platforms across Fortinet and Aruba deployments.

· Optimization & Performance Tuning: Continuously monitor and tune RF environments (channel allocation, power levels, channel width, and band steering) to mitigate interference, reduce latency, and maximize client throughput.

· Security & Access Control: Implement robust wireless security frameworks (802.1X, WPA3-Enterprise, RADIUS/TACACS+, FortiNAC, Aruba ClearPass, rogue AP detection, and secure guest access segmentation).

· Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Serve as the final escalation point (Tier 3/4) for complex wireless connectivity, roaming issues, authentication failures, and performance bottlenecks.

· Automation & Monitoring: Leverage automation scripts (Python, Ansible) and network telemetry to streamline configuration management, track network KPIs, and automate routine operational tasks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Wireless Expertise & Vendor Focus

· 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering with a heavy focus on wireless/Wi-Fi design and operations.

· Primary expertise in Fortinet wireless ecosystem (FortiAP, FortiGate WiFi Controller, FortiManager, FortiNAC).

· Strong hands-on experience with Aruba Wireless solutions (Aruba Central, ArubaOS Mobility Controllers, AirWave).

· Deep technical knowledge of IEEE 802.11 standards (Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7), roaming protocols (802.11r/k/v), and RF characteristics (RSSI, SNR, multipath interference).

Networking & Security Core Competencies

· Solid understanding of routing and switching fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF/BGP, STP, trunking, and PoE management).

· Familiarity with DHCP, DNS, and AAA/RADIUS architectures (Aruba ClearPass, FortiNAC, Cisco ISE).

· Experience with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark) for deep-dive wireless frame analysis.

Certifications

· Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 7 or FCP/FCSS in Network Security / Wireless.

· Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or Aruba Certified Mobility Expert (ACMX).

· CWNP Certified Wireless Network Professional certification (e.g., CWNA, CWDP, CWSP) is a strong plus.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
