Runtime has partnered with a fast-growing AI developer tooling company that helps engineering teams improve how they build, test, and review software. The company develops AI-powered technology for software development teams and works with enterprise engineering organizations globally.

Its product supports deployments across cloud and on-premise environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. With growing demand from enterprise customers across the United States, the company is expanding its presence and looking for engineers who can take ownership of customer deployments and solve complex infrastructure challenges.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage customer installations and deployments across the United States. This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to someone with strong Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code experience who can troubleshoot complex technical issues and work directly with enterprise customers.

Around 30% of the role is customer-facing. You will investigate deployment and infrastructure problems, resolve customer tickets, and improve existing systems by automating manual processes. The position also involves occasional travel to enterprise customer locations.

The engineering organization has a global presence, with a significant technical team based in Israel and a Field CTO in the United States. The leadership team has strong backgrounds in software development, AI, and engineering and values engineers who can work independently and take responsibility for solving problems.

LOCATION AND WORK ARRANGEMENT

• Remote within the United States, ideally in the Eastern or Central time zone.

• Occasional travel to enterprise customers is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own customer installations and software deployments across cloud and on-premise environments.

• Work directly with enterprise customers to diagnose and resolve deployment, infrastructure, and connectivity issues.

• Manage infrastructure-related support tickets and troubleshoot technical problems through to resolution.

• Use logs, error messages, and other diagnostic information to identify root causes and resolve complex issues.

• Work with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm to support and manage customer environments.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure and networking challenges, including firewall configuration and connectivity.

• Improve existing infrastructure and automate processes that are currently handled manually.

• Support deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

• Take ownership of technical problems, learn unfamiliar systems quickly, and develop practical solutions independently.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Approximately five to seven or more years of relevant professional experience in DevOps or a related engineering role.

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.

• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and Helm.

• A solid understanding of infrastructure and networking, including firewalls and connectivity.

• Experience deploying software into customer cloud or on-premise environments.

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, including the ability to work from logs and errors to identify root causes.

• The ability to work autonomously, learn quickly, and take ownership of technical issues.

• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working across multiple cloud platforms, particularly AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana.

• A software development background before transitioning into DevOps.

• Experience in roles such as DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or Deployment Engineer.
