DevOps Engineer – AWS, Kubernetes & Edge IoT

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with practical knowledge of AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, Linux administration, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

The role involves monitoring application and infrastructure health, resolving operational incidents, supporting deployments and upgrades, and maintaining reliable cloud and Edge IoT environments. The ideal candidate should have experience with AWS services, containerization, scripting, and troubleshooting, along with an understanding of MQTT and industrial edge protocols.

Candidates should be comfortable working rotational shifts and providing operational support during deployments, upgrades, and critical events.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps

• Monitor and maintain AWS infrastructure using EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Support Kubernetes clusters, workloads, and containerized applications.
• Administer Linux environments and troubleshoot operating system issues.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Use Terraform to support infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Work with Docker and cloud infrastructure automation tools.
• Support cloud solution architecture and application architecture requirements.

2. Monitoring and Incident Management

• Review application and infrastructure health dashboards at the start of each shift.
• Monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and prioritize service tickets based on impact.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, connectivity, and platform issues.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to resolve complex technical problems.
• Document root cause analysis (RCA), maintain SOPs, and communicate issue resolutions.
• Identify recurring incidents and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

3. Deployment and Operational Support

• Support scheduled deployments, platform upgrades, backups, and recovery activities.
• Assist with release readiness and infrastructure validation.
• Provide occasional support during critical deployments, upgrades, and incidents.
• Identify automation opportunities and contribute to continuous operational improvement.

4. Edge IoT and Industrial Protocols

• Support Edge IoT environments and related cloud integrations.
• Work with MQTT-based communication and understand its application in IoT environments.
• Support edge protocols such as OPC UA and other relevant industrial protocols.
• Work with platforms and technologies such as AWS Edge, Azure Edge, and ThingWorx Edge MicroServer.
• Support message brokers and IoT platforms where required.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant DevOps/cloud engineering experience.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Moderate hands-on experience with Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
• Solid Linux OS administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic to moderate experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Bash/Shell scripting and Python.
• Understanding of MQTT and networking protocols.
• Knowledge of application architecture and cloud solution architecture.
• Exposure to edge computing and Edge IoT platforms.
• Knowledge of OPC UA and other industrial edge protocols.
• Familiarity with Grafana, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document technical issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira.
• Message brokers and IoT platforms such as EMQX and HiveMQ.
• Monitoring tools such as Datadog and Grafana.
• Access management using Azure AD.
• AWS Edge and Azure Edge technologies.
• ThingWorx Edge MicroServer.
• Industrial AI, data visualization, and ML Ops.
• Advanced MQTT protocol knowledge.
• Willingness to learn additional DevOps and cloud technologies.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
