AWS Sitewise GreenGrass Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Edge Computing & IoT
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS IoT Greengrass components for manufacturing and industrial environments.
• Configure and maintain Greengrass devices for local data processing, filtering, transformation, and secure communication.
• Develop edge applications using AWS IoT Greengrass V2 components.
• Implement machine-to-cloud connectivity patterns for manufacturing systems and plant-floor applications.
• Manage device lifecycle, provisioning, monitoring, and updates across distributed edge devices.
• AWS Cloud Integration
• Configure and manage AWS IoT Core, IoT Policies, Device Shadows, and Secure MQTT communication.
• Develop secure edge-to-cloud data pipelines using AWS services.
• Integrate AWS IoT solutions with:
• Amazon S3
• AWS Lambda
• AWS Glue
• Amazon SNS
• AWS CloudWatch
• AWS IAM
• Enable real-time event processing and monitoring from edge devices.
• Data Engineering & Analytics
• Build data ingestion pipelines from on-prem manufacturing systems into AWS Data Lake environments.
• Support data transformation and standardization processes.
• Integrate AWS data pipelines with Snowflake Data Warehouse environments.
• Enable downstream analytics and reporting through Power BI and enterprise reporting platforms.
• Troubleshoot data quality, latency, and synchronization issues.
• Security & Governance
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using AWS IAM.
• Configure encryption and secure transport mechanisms for IoT devices.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and operational standards.
• Monitor system health, audit logs, and operational metrics.
