Lead AI Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Build and operationalize machine-learning models for document processing.
• Design and deploy AI solutions that extract insights from complex legal documents using Generative AI.
• Design, develop, and deploy Agentic AI solutions using LLMs, tool calling, and multi-agent workflows.
• Build intelligent AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, and executing tasks across enterprise systems and knowledge sources.
• Leverage agentic AI and Gen AI tooling day-to-day in testing and framework development.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business problems into AI-driven solutions.

Must-have qualifications & experience

• Python + PySpark for data pipelining and ingestion.
• Solid grasp of Data Engineering patterns: landing (raw/source), cleansing (core/foundation), building domain entities; experience with large-scale data pipelines and distributed computing.
• LLM-powered applications & AI assistants; hands-on Agentic AI architectures (planning, reasoning, tool use, workflow orchestration).
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solution implementation.
• Prompt engineering, plus evaluation frameworks and AI-application testing methodologies.
• LLM deployment, governance, security, and responsible-AI practices.
• Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and MLOps practices (build operationalize monitor in production).
• Familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks — e.g. PyTorch or TensorFlow — and LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain / LangGraph / Microsoft Agent Framework).
• Hands-on use of coding agents and agentic development daily.
• Able to work remotely full-time. Customer and project interview required.

Nice-to-have

• Generative AI and/or Natural Language Processing experience.
• Vector databases and semantic-search technologies.
• Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and/or Microsoft Agent Framework.
• Insurance / reinsurance domain knowledge.
• Production AI deployment with model monitoring/maintenance
• Solution-focused, universal mindset; comfortable with high-complexity tasks.
