We are seeking to hire experienced Snowflake Engineer(s) in the Snowflake Transformation & Growth team, which is a centre of excellence in Deloitte’s Engineering, AI & Data service offering. You will be working with clients and other third parties, as well as Deloitte teams from across the Firm. You will have the opportunity to work with a huge variety of interesting, international, and world-leading clients who are navigating an evolving marketplace where the Data Cloud is taking engineering to a new level. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-impact transformation programmes, including integrations and legacy data migrations, while developing your Snowflake expertise and working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams. You will have a degree of technical knowledge, as well as the ability to communicate to business users.

You will combine strong Snowflake data engineering capability with practical experience in enabling analytics and AI-ready data products, translating business and technical requirements into robust, scalable solutions that create trusted data foundations and measurable business value.

Your role

As a Snowflake Engineer, you will solve our clients’ most challenging business problems by applying advanced data engineering techniques to design, deliver and operate robust and cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you may be expected to:

• Stakeholder engagement: Lead discussions with technical stakeholders and leadership teams to define and deliver data pipelines aligned with architecture.

• Data models: Develop and implement physical data models covering data acquisition, preprocessing, ETL/ELT integrations and deployment.

• Data migration: Plan and oversee migration activities for legacy on-premise systems, ensuring scale, efficiency, reliability and clear management of delivery risks.

• Technology assessment: Evaluate Snowflake technologies and integrate relevant changes into client solutions and internal frameworks.

• Delivery practices: Lead knowledge sharing, reusable code, technical reviews and CI/CD practices across sprint teams.

• Design, build, test and deploy scalable batch and near-real-time data pipelines, reusable data products and analytics solutions on Snowflake using SQL, Python, Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks and Dynamic Tables.
