About the Opportunity:

The SOFTWARE ARCHITECT – AI-ENABLED ENTERPRISE PLATFORM role is responsible for setting the architectural and technical direction of an AI-enabled enterprise application platform designed for secure workflows, enterprise integration, and cloud-native deployment. This position leads the engineering team’s technical execution, manages releases, and collaborates closely with product management to translate priorities into actionable plans. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on development to ensure the platform meets its performance and security goals.

Responsibilities:

• Own architecture, technical direction, and engineering standards for the platform and its microservices
• Define service boundaries, API contracts, data flows, integration patterns, and document key technical decisions
• Lead design of AI-enabled system architecture, including tool calling and integration with large language model services
• Design secure enterprise integrations with identity, document workflows, collaboration tools, and external APIs
• Manage technical debt, platform risks, and architectural drift with pragmatic decision-making
• Lead solution design, task breakdown, estimation, sequencing, and code reviews for the engineering team
• Collaborate with product management to translate goals and requirements into technical designs and milestones
• Establish standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and completion criteria
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and direct feedback
• Serve as technical liaison for leadership, product, and customer stakeholders on status and risks
• Manage release processes, including readiness, documentation, and change control representation
• Own production operations including incident management, rollback decisions, and post-release verification
• Work with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, observability, autoscaling, and performance testing
• Contribute directly to coding across front-end and back-end components

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Over 10 years of professional software engineering experience
• At least 5 years of experience leading application architecture and technical execution in senior roles
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Proficiency in one or more object-oriented, strongly typed languages such as Java, C#, TypeScript, Go, or Kotlin
• Experience building modern web front-end and back-end API applications
• Demonstrated ownership of production application architecture, including front-end, back-end, data, and integration
• Experience in team planning, work breakdown, and dependency management
• Familiarity with structured release practices, versioning, change control, and rollback for distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of API design, authentication, data modeling, error handling, testing, and maintainability
• Practical understanding of secure software development and production readiness
• Working knowledge of AI-first application patterns including tool calling and context management

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
