Job Description
The Plumbers Guild is a plumbing service company looking for a dependable person to answer customer calls, coordinate appointments and keep job records organized.
You will work directly with the owner and field technicians.
We provide training in Housecall Pro and company AI tools.
PAY AND SCHEDULE
$18–$22 per hour, depending on relevant experience.
Monday: 8 AM–5 PM Eastern, with a one-hour lunch covered by the company.
Tuesday–Friday: 1–5 PM Eastern.
Approximately 24 paid hours per week.
No regular evening or weekend shifts.
You must be available and working during scheduled hours.
This role starts part time.
There may be an opportunity for more hours or a full-time role as the business grows, based on business needs and performance.
Additional hours are not guaranteed.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Answer customer calls professionally and return missed calls promptly during your shift.
Gather customer information and the problem, check booking rules and technician availability, and schedule suitable appointments.
Ask whether the customer has other plumbing concerns to pass to the technician.
Keep records accurate, including how the customer heard about us, technician assignment, notes, photos, receipts and documented provider agreements.
Use company AI tools to check records, draft routine responses and identify missing information.
Verify results and follow through until missing items are resolved.
Coordinate customer updates and technician handoffs.
Bring pricing questions, technical questions, complaints and unusual agreements to the owner.
Keep records complete for Finance to reconcile settlement.
You will not independently set technician pay, approve refunds or release payments.
WHAT YOU NEED
Clear, professional phone manner and strong spoken and written English.
Dependable attendance, accurate record keeping and follow-through without repeated reminders.
Experience in customer service, scheduling, dispatch or office administration.
Plumbing or home service experience is helpful but not required.
Your own reliable laptop or desktop computer, headset with microphone, stable internet and quiet workspace.
A smartphone for company app access and account verification.
We do not provide a computer or phone.
Customer calls use the company phone system, not your personal number.
Comfort learning Housecall Pro and using AI tools.
No programming experience required.
You must check AI output rather than assume it is correct.
Respect for customer information and company account security.
The computer is the primary workstation.
The mobile app does not replace being at your workstation and available during your shift.
WHAT WE OFFER
Remote work with a consistent weekday schedule, paid training, direct support from the owner, company access to necessary software and AI tools, and an opportunity for more responsibility as the business grows.
This position currently does not include employer-sponsored health insurance or a 401(k).

Send your resume and a short note about relevant experience.
Confirm availability for the listed Eastern time schedule and that you have the required computer, headset, internet and workspace.
