Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain features in a large-scale C++ backend service handling real-time collaboration. (boards, messaging, presence, document conversion)
- Work across the full data path from HTTP/WebSocket request handling through business logic, multi-tier caching, async job processing, and SQLite persistence.
- Build and optimize async job pipelines for push notifications, email digests, document conversion, and search indexing.
- Debug production issues using GDB, sanitizers, and structured logging in a Linux environment.
- Maintain and evolve the SQLite + Protocol BuYer persistence layer, including schema migrations and index tuning.
- Contribute to the distributed cache layer built on consistent-hash ring buYers with WebSocket-based server communication.
- Participate in code reviews and help maintain standards across a 300,000+ line codebase.
