About The Role Humane World for Animals is seeking a skilled Web Developer specializing in eCRM and digital marketing to support its global fundraising and advocacy efforts. The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining front-end web solutions that enhance supporter engagement and streamline donation processes. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Digital Marketing, Brand and Visuals, and Information Systems to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experience. The ideal candidate will utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate project delivery while upholding rigorous standards for security, accessibility, and compliance. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization committed to animal protection, utilizing innovative technology and best practices in web development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, web development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in front-end web development and custom website creation
• Proven experience with Engaging Networks or similar eCRM platforms
• Proficiency in HTML5, Sass, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, GitHub, Webpack, Node.js, npm, core AWS services, and Mailgun
• Familiarity with Segment or other Customer Data Platforms (CDPs)
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic development tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot
• Knowledge of responsive, mobile-first web design, user experience (UX), accessibility standards, and page speed optimization
• Understanding of GDPR compliance, cookie consent tools (preferably Iubenda), and regional data security standards
• Experience in building interactive data visualizations for campaign storytelling and supporter engagement
• Strong attention to detail when translating designs from Adobe XD or Figma into functional code
• Knowledge of digital marketing strategies for US and international audiences
• Ability to stay updated on AI trends in web development, including personalization and workflow automation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus
• Experience with A/B testing platforms and Google Analytics
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team
• Interest in animal protection issues is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate regularly with Digital Marketing, Brand and Visuals, and IS teams to gather project requirements and offer technical recommendations
• Develop, maintain, and optimize custom donation forms, advocacy forms, webpages, and email templates
• Implement best practices for user experience, accessibility, page speed, and GDPR compliance across all digital assets
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding assistants to accelerate coding, debugging, refactoring, testing, and documentation processes
• Identify opportunities for AI and agent-built solutions, monitor their performance, and update or retire them as necessary
• Ensure all code and configurations adhere to security standards, including PCI compliance, in collaboration with the Information Security team
