About the Role
We are seeking a Java Developer for a remote contract opportunity supporting software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with core Java concepts, build tools, Unix/Linux environments, and distributed or service-oriented architectures.
In this role, you will apply your software development experience and Java expertise to contribute to application development and support. A working knowledge of Spring and experience with tools such as Maven are also required.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain software using core Java.
•Apply Java Generics, Collections, Multithreading, and I/O concepts in software development.
•Work in Unix/Linux environments and use basic shell scripting as needed.
•Use Spring knowledge to support application development.
•Work with distributed systems or service-oriented architectures.
•Use build tools such as Maven to support software build processes.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
•At least 6 years of software development experience.
•At least 4 years of experience with core Java, including Generics, Collections, Multithreading, and I/O.
•At least 2 years of Unix/Linux experience, including basic shell scripting.
•At least 1 year of knowledge or experience with Spring.
•At least 1 year of experience with distributed or service-oriented architectures.
•At least 2 years of experience with build tools such as Maven.
