The company is expanding its senior engineering team and is looking for experienced engineers who can take ownership of complex projects, work across different technology stacks, and deliver reliable production software in a consulting environment.

About the Role

NextGen Coding Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong full-stack and systems engineering experience. This role is suited to an engineer who has delivered multiple production systems across different industries and can manage technical work independently, from architecture and development through deployment.

You will build scalable applications, APIs, data pipelines, and automation tools while contributing to system architecture and technical planning. The role requires the ability to adapt quickly to unfamiliar technologies, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver high-quality software with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect, design, and develop scalable production software systems.

•Build full-stack applications using modern frontend and backend frameworks.

•Develop APIs, data pipelines, automation systems, and internal tools.

•Contribute to system architecture and technical planning for client projects.

•Write production-quality code while working independently.

•Review code and maintain engineering standards across projects.

•Debug and resolve complex issues involving distributed systems and application infrastructure.

•Collaborate with delivery managers, QA teams, designers, and other engineers to deliver reliable software.

•Document system architecture, technical decisions, and implementation details.

•Adapt to new codebases, technologies, and project requirements as needed.

Required Qualifications

•At least 10 years of professional software development experience.

•Experience delivering multiple production systems across different industries.

•Strong full-stack development skills across frontend and backend technologies.

•Experience designing system architecture and scalable applications.

•Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.

•Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly and work across different codebases.

•Experience working with remote or distributed engineering teams.

•Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with technical teams and business stakeholders.

•Ability to manage technical responsibilities independently and solve problems with minimal oversight.

Technical Skills

The engineering team works across a range of modern technologies, including:

•Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks.

•Backend: Python, Node.js, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

•Data: PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, data pipelines, and integrations.

•Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.

Preferred Experience

•Experience integrating AI capabilities into software applications.

•Background building automation systems or data platforms.

•Experience working in a fast-paced software consulting environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has built and maintained multiple real-world software systems and is comfortable taking ownership of complex engineering work. They can diagnose technical problems quickly, adapt to changing project requirements, and deliver practical solutions without relying on close supervision.

They should also be comfortable working with different technology stacks and collaborating with engineers, designers, delivery managers, and business stakeholders.
