Web Software Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Web Software Engineer. In this position, the engineer will design, build, and maintain web applications that interface with DBByte’s data infrastructure platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing front-end and back-end features, optimizing application performance, integrating APIs and services, and ensuring reliability and scalability across the stack. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions, write clean and testable code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Web Development and Web Applications, with experience building modern, production-grade web solutions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including designing APIs, data models, and server-side logic.
• Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development, including working with contemporary JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar) and familiarity with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with performance optimization, scalability, and reliability in distributed or cloud-based systems.
• Knowledge of version control (e.g., Git), testing practices, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the capacity to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
