Job Description
VP of Product Experience
We are seeking a VP of Product Experience to oversee the overall user experience of our products. You will lead design and user research teams, collaborating with product, technology, and business leaders to enhance product usability and service experiences. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will translate user needs into clear priorities and drive the team through the entire lifecycle—from research and design to post-launch continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Define the product experience vision and milestones, ensuring consistency across products regarding interaction, visual design, and service workflows.
Identify key issues by synthesizing user interviews, customer feedback, and usage data, and guide the team in prioritizing improvements.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams on requirement discussions, solution reviews, and launch acceptance, making balanced trade-offs between user experience, development costs, and delivery timelines.
Focus on optimizing core processes—such as registration, identity verification, account management, and transactions—to increase task completion rates and reduce user friction.
Establish and maintain design systems and experience standards to facilitate collaboration across multiple products and teams.
Partner with customer service, compliance, and risk teams to ensure clear product documentation and easily understandable information regarding fees, transaction outcomes, and risk disclosures.
Manage team recruitment, development, and performance, while regularly reporting progress and results of experience improvements to senior management.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in product design, user experience, or related fields, including at least 5 years in team management.
Proven experience managing the experience of complex digital products; ability to provide specific examples illustrating decision-making, team contributions, and actual outcomes.
Proficiency in user research, interaction design, usability testing, and design systems; ability to make informed judgments by combining qualitative feedback with business data.
Experience driving project execution in collaboration with product, engineering, and business teams, with the ability to navigate and resolve conflicting priorities across departments.
Strong communication skills, capable of both participating in detailed solution discussions and articulating investments, trade-offs, and expected outcomes to senior management.
Experience in financial services, fintech, or digital asset products is preferred.
