Job Description

Company Description

Lauren Ashley Design LLC is a women-led boutique interior design firm focused on custom homes and large-scale residential renovations. Founded by Lauren Brantley, a credentialed designer with a Master’s degree in Design, the firm partners with homeowners who are building or renovating and want a design collaborator with strong architectural thinking and clear decision-making.

Our work follows a structured design process through four offerings:

  • Turn-Key Custom Build & Renovation: a fully managed, in-person experience for select Central Indiana clients, from blueprint review through installation
  • Nationwide Custom Build & Renovation: The Design Master Plan, a complete builder-ready portfolio with to-scale floor plans, 3D renderings, and detailed architectural finish schedules
  • Concierge Virtual Furnishing: room-by-room design plans, curated premium furnishings, and exact purchasing lists, managed remotely
  • Studio Scale: behind-the-scenes design support for other interior design studios, including sourcing, floor plans, spec books, and presentations

Our work has been featured in LuxLife Magazine, Redfin, Canvas Rebel, and Fixr, and we’re currently booking new construction and major renovation projects for 2026 and 2027.

Our Values

We welcome applicants of all faiths, backgrounds, and beliefs, and we value the different perspectives each designer brings to our clients’ homes. Lauren Ashley Design is guided by Christ-centered values, which shape how we serve our clients, how we care for our team, and how we do our work. We’re building a studio where designers can do meaningful work while honoring their family seasons.

We ask all team members to respect our core values of integrity, servant leadership, and excellence, and to uphold these standards in their daily interactions with clients and coworkers.

Role Description

This is a part-time, remote contract role for a Residential Interior Designer from January through April 2027, with the potential to grow into an ongoing role after April for the right fit. You’ll support our nationwide virtual projects and our Studio Scale partner studios, helping develop Design Master Plans, Concierge Virtual Furnishing plans, and design support work, and keeping projects moving for our clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Create floor plans, finish selections, and FF&E schedules
  • Build polished client presentations and spec books
  • Source products and confirm stock and lead times before presenting
  • Adapt to each partner studio’s design style and standards on support projects
  • Communicate with clients and our team as needed, including virtual meetings
  • Keep organized project files in our shared systems

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional residential interior design experience (not including internships)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a closely related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar, plus presentation tools
  • A strong eye for design and presentation polish
  • Comfort working remotely, managing deadlines independently, and communicating with clients
  • Discretion and professionalism when supporting partner studios’ clients and projects
  • Commitment to our core values of integrity, servant leadership, and excellence
  • Flexible hours; some overlap with 12:00–4:00 p.m. Eastern is a plus

Details

  • Up to about 10 hours per week, depending on project needs
  • January through April 2027, with potential to continue
  • Independent contractor role
