About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Backend Developer Intern who is eager to learn, solve problems, and contribute to building reliable, scalable backend systems. You’ll work alongside the development team to build APIs, manage databases, and implement the server-side logic that powers our products.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real-world software projects, improve your engineering skills, and learn industry best practices in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend APIs and services.

• Assist in designing and managing database schemas.

• Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.

• Debug issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance.

• Collaborate with frontend and mobile developers to integrate APIs.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning.

• Document API endpoints and contribute to technical documentation.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Node.js and Express.js or NestJS.

• Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP.

• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

• Understanding of Git and GitHub.

• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work collaboratively.

• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Prisma or another ORM.

• Basic knowledge of authentication, JWT, or session management.

• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.

• Personal projects or contributions to open-source software.
