Job Description
Summary
We’re seeking a Sr. Azure Data Engineer to support the migration from Informatica to Microsoft Fabric. You’ll work on data pipeline development, optimization, and modernization initiatives using Python, SQL, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in Azure Data Factory
- Write and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for data processing and transformation
- Support the Informatica-to-Fabric migration, including data mapping and pipeline conversion
- Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements
- Troubleshoot data integration issues and optimize pipeline performance
- Document processes and maintain technical specifications
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Strong SQL expertise (query writing, optimization, database design)
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline architecture
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Nice-to-Have
- Experience migrating from Informatica to cloud-based platforms
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Databricks, or other modern data stack tools
- Experience with version control (Git)
- Knowledge of cloud data warehouse concepts
