Job Description

Sales & Bookings Manager, LOCKES (Clapham Junction and Covent Garden)

£34,000 to £38,000 base plus uncapped commission. On-target earnings £42,000 to £46,000.

Full time, based across both venues.

About LOCKES

LOCKES is an independent cocktail bar and pizza business with two London venues: in Clapham Junction and Covent Garden. Our founder co-founded Be At One and grew it to more than 30 bars. We are a small team with no head office, so you will work directly with the founder and own your results.

The role

You will own every pound of pre-booked revenue across both sites: parties, private hire, corporate events, group bookings and Christmas. You answer every enquiry, turn it into a confirmed booking, and go out and find new business.

What you will do

  • Respond to every enquiry by phone, email, web and social, fast, and convert it into a confirmed booking with a deposit or pre-order
  • Upsell packages, drinks pre-orders, food and exclusive hire
  • Build a list of local businesses, offices and repeat party bookers around both venues, and sell to them
  • Run the bookings diary in Access Collins / DesignMyNight and keep it accurate
  • Brief the site managers on every booking so the night is delivered as sold
  • Follow up after every event for rebookings, reviews and referrals
  • Report weekly on enquiries, conversion rate and revenue booked per site
  • Plan and sell the peak periods early: Christmas, summer and big sporting dates

What we are looking for

  • At least two years selling events, parties or group bookings for bars, restaurants or venues
  • A record of hitting sales targets, with numbers you can talk us through
  • Fast, warm and accurate written and phone manner
  • Confidence picking up the phone and approaching new corporate clients
  • Experience with Collins, DesignMyNight or a similar bookings system
  • Organised enough to run two diaries without dropping an enquiry

What you get

  • £34,000 to £38,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Uncapped commission on the revenue you book, paid monthly
  • Guaranteed commission for your first three months while you build your pipeline
  • Monday to Friday daytime hours, with occasional evenings to host key events
  • Real ownership: you set up the sales process, and you report to the founder
  • 28 days holiday, staff meals and employee discount

How to apply

Send your CV and a short note telling us about the best month of bookings you have ever sold, with the numbers, to [email protected]
