Strategy & Operations Manager, Citymapper

Key Notes

Citymapper data quality and analyst-team leadership are the responsibilities of this manager. You’ll own a region’s data strategy, improve tools and automation and align Product, Engineering and Operations around reliable journey information. Direct people-management experience and at least four years in an operational, technical, product or cross-functional role are required. The full-time London role is hybrid and requires Greater London residence and UK work rights; Python and transit-data formats are optional advantages.

What You’ll Work On

• Lead and develop Citymapper Data Analysts, coaching performance and removing blockers to reliable transport information across the assigned region.
• Own regional data strategy and quality across web and mobile products, coordinating priorities with Product, Engineering and Operations teams.
• Develop data-team workflows, tools and automation with engineers, improving scalable processes that maintain journey-planning information for users.
• Translate complex datasets into practical product insight, coordinating analytical projects and improving decisions across technical and commercial partners.

What They Are Looking For

• Experience: Direct team management and development, including coaching and thoughtful feedback.
• Experience: At least four years in operational, technical, product or cross-functional work.
• Technical: Comfort with data and product problems and structured project management across competing priorities.
• Stakeholder: Clear communication across engineering, product and business planning.
• Eligibility: Greater London residence and the right to work in the UK, as stated in the job-specific application.
• Preferred: Data, Python or transit formats such as GTFS, TransXChange, SIRI or HAFAS are advantageous rather than required.
