Job Description
• $80–$125 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of medical AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the clinical judgment you already use.
Medical AI is trained and evaluated with input from practicing clinicians. The teams building these systems need family medicine hospitalists to examine inpatient records, determine whether the chart backs up a clinical statement, judge the standard of the documentation, and point out gaps in the AI’s work or underlying information. Your clinical judgment helps shape the next generation of medical models. You can do this remotely alongside your current practice.
What you’ll do
• Use inpatient records, clinical notes and FHIR data to assess material that will improve AI systems
• Compare clinical claims with the medical record and explain whether the chart provides adequate support
• Assess inpatient documentation, including HPI, past medical history, assessments and plans
• Flag gaps, errors and inconsistencies, then give specific feedback on the documentation and the AI model’s performance
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid the equivalent of $80–$125 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier medical AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most family medicine hospitalists will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping medicine, and the clinicians who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Hold Family Medicine board certification as an MD or DO; a Hospital Medicine focus or certification applies where applicable
• Bring five years or more of hospitalist experience, with current or recent inpatient or hospitalist work falling within the last two years
• Professional fluency in English; strong understanding of admissions, progress notes, transitions of care and discharge documentation; comfortable applying written review standards to raw medical records, FHIR data and clinical notes
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $80–$125 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
• Weekly task submissions must meet the project’s minimum requirements.
