What you’ll do

• Create and update detailed parametric FreeCAD models for mechanical design tasks

• Develop mechanical assemblies and review how components fit and work together

• Prepare technical drawings and engineering documentation for design review, manufacturing and assembly

• Review CAD models and drawings, identify issues, explain your findings and help resolve problems

Who this is for

• Two or more years in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, product design or another field built on parametric CAD

• Advanced FreeCAD or equivalent parametric CAD experience

• Mechanical design skills including GD&T, DFM, technical drawings, manufacturing documentation and model verification, with fluent English

• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.

• $40–$100 per hour equivalent; pay is per task, as an independent contractor
