Job Description
• $140–$400 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of legal AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the legal judgment you already bring.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real legal experts. The teams building them need litigation and corporate/M&A lawyers who can create realistic legal scenarios, judge the accuracy of AI answers, write the analysis a practicing lawyer would give, and explain exactly where the AI falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of AI models handles legal work. This is that work, done remotely around your current practice.
What you’ll do
• Research and analyze legal questions across a range of US law topics
• Draft memos, opinions and contracts, and edit and review drafts written by others
• Judge whether legal documents are accurate, clear and in line with sound legal practice
• Provide structured feedback and flag errors, ambiguities and other quality issues in complex legal materials
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $140–$400 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier legal AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most litigation and corporate/M&A lawyers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping legal practice, and the lawyers who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
• An active license to practice law
• Experience at one or more Vault Law 100 firms and exposure to sophisticated legal matters
• Strong academic credentials and legal analysis, research and writing skills, including experience drafting and reviewing legal content
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $140–$400 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
