Job Description
• $140–$400 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of legal AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the legal judgment you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real legal professionals. The teams building them need litigation and transactional lawyers who can work through simulated legal scenarios, judge how well the AI handles complex materials, write the answer a lawyer would give, and explain exactly where the AI falls short. Your judgment helps shape the next generation of legal AI models. This is that work, done remotely around your current practice.
What you’ll do
• Handle document review across litigation and transactions, including M&A and private equity materials
• Prepare sample agreements and clauses modeled on private equity and other high-value transactions
• Assess the AI’s work on simulated legal scenarios and give structured feedback on its analysis
• Explain the legal reasoning behind your review and apply consistent standards to improve the training data
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $140–$400 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier legal AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most litigation and transactional lawyers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping legal practice, and the lawyers who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
• A JD earned at a US law school, together with active admission to a US bar in good standing
• Practice experience at an AmLaw 100 firm or at another law firm of similar standing
• Experience across litigation and complex transactions, such as M&A, private equity, capital markets, contract drafting or data privacy
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $140–$400 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
