Software Developer - Database L2 (contract)

Role Summary We are seeking a Full Stack Developer with experience building and supporting modern cloud-native applications within AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background across both front-end and back-end development, leveraging React, TypeScript, Node.js, and MongoDB to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. This role requires collaboration across development teams to design, build, deploy, and maintain applications while following modern software engineering and CI/CD best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications in a cloud-based AWS environment.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Develop scalable and secure backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design, query, and optimize MongoDB databases to support application performance and reliability.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support enterprise application needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization efforts.
• Utilize Kafka and event-driven architectures to support real-time data processing and application integrations.
• Manage source code and development workflows using GitHub and/or GitLab.
• Support application deployments and automation efforts through CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure and application operations within AWS.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Hands-on experience developing applications within AWS cloud environments.
• Strong front-end development experience using React and TypeScript.
• Experience building backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Proficiency with MongoDB and NoSQL database concepts.
• Experience using GitHub and/or GitLab for source control and collaboration.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and modern software development lifecycle practices.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
