Job Description
About this role
CoTrain is hiring on behalf of Anova Labs for a full-stack mobile game developer who knows how to build the kind of simple, addictive mobile games that go viral and generate serious revenue. CoTrain is a vetted marketplace that connects companies with elite, pre-screened talent, so you go straight to real work.
You’ll own the technical side from idea → prototype → production → App Store / Google Play launch, working closely with the team on game concepts, monetization, retention, and growth. This isn’t a role for someone who just writes code — they want someone who can take a game from an idea to a product that prints.
What you’ll own
- Build mobile games end to end — from concept and rapid prototype through production and store launch
- Work full-stack across game development, backend, APIs, analytics, and integrations
- Design and implement monetization: ads, IAPs, and viral loops that actually move revenue and retention
- Ship to the App Store and Google Play, and iterate fast on live data
- Partner with the team on concepts, retention mechanics, and growth
- Move quickly — prototype and launch, not months of overengineering
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience building mobile games from scratch
- Full-stack capability across game dev, backend, APIs, analytics, and integrations
- Hands-on with Unity, Unreal, Godot, or similar
- Able to rapidly prototype and launch — speed over perfection
- Deep understanding of mobile game mechanics, retention, monetization, ads, IAPs, and viral loops
- A track record shipping games to the App Store and Google Play
- Strong product instincts — you know what makes a game fun, addictive, shareable, and scalable
- Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment and taking ownership
Big plus
You’ve previously built or worked on a mobile game that hit meaningful downloads, revenue, or viral growth.
Compensation
$2,500–$6,500/month, based on experience. Fully remote, long-term (6+ months).
How to apply
Apply through CoTrain, not by email — open the listing on CoTrain, sign in or create your expert profile if you’re new, and submit with links to games you’ve shipped (App Store / Google Play), with downloads or revenue where you can share them, plus a short note on why you’re the one. You’ll also take a short 8-minute interview as part of your application. From there you’ll get vetted and matched through the platform, and we’ll reach out to you on CoTrain.
PS: We review applications daily — make sure you complete your 8-minute interview to be considered.
