Job Description
About the company
Our client is a lean, privately held, engineering-driven company with more than three decades of history detecting and canceling radio frequency (RF) interference and jamming in mobile networks. It has been repeatedly recognized as one of its region’s most innovative companies. Today it is focused on bringing its interference and anti-jamming software to next-generation networks built on Open RAN, OCUDU, and AI-RAN architectures.
What they do
The company licenses software that protects wireless networks from interference and malicious jamming. Customers and partners include radio unit (RU) and distributed unit (DU) manufacturers, Open RAN, OCUDU and AI-RAN platform providers, private 5G network integrators, mobile network operators, and federal and defense agencies.
- Interference Management and Cancellation (IMC): Autonomous software that detects, identifies, and cancels interference and jammers in real time, built to integrate directly into Open RAN and AI-RAN infrastructure. IMC can be integrated into either the RU or the DU.
- dApp innovation: An early mover in delivering an interference cancellation dApp that runs directly inside the DU.
- Engineering services: Engagements typically include integration services to embed IMC software into RU and DU devices.
- AI and simulation tools: Proprietary AI and simulation tools that deliver incremental value to customers.
Why this opportunity stands out
- A software startup in an emerging industry. The RAN market is shifting toward open, AI-native architectures led by smaller, US-based, innovative companies. Analysts expect network upgrade spending to accelerate, and the company is positioning its licensing model for a multibillion-dollar market.
- First mover in network resiliency. As 5G becomes critical infrastructure for defense, public safety, utilities, and transportation, anti-jamming protection is now required. The company is recognized by federal stakeholders and is actively demonstrating its technology to military customers.
- Partnerships across the ecosystem. Signed integration partnerships with Open RAN platform and network companies, plus active participation in leading AI-RAN, OCUDU and spectrum industry alliances, give the company a seat at the table where standards are being set.
Role highlights
- A clean slate. Direct access to the CEO and full ownership of business development, with no internal territory competition. You’ll inherit an established portfolio of roughly 20 active opportunities and partnerships.
- Rewarded for progress and revenue. A competitive base and a share of revenue, plus merit bonuses for strategic milestones such as signed license agreements, integration partnerships, government contract wins, and major customer demonstrations.
- Shape a market and grow with it. Help define a new category, directly influence the product roadmap, and build a sales team and grow into broader executive leadership as the company scales.
Key responsibilities
- Business development ownership: Prospect, qualify, and close software licensing and integration agreements with RU and DU manufacturers, Open RAN and AI-RAN platform providers, and private 5G network integrators.
- Opportunity conversion: Advance roughly 20 active opportunities through milestones such as joint press releases, integration agreements with revenue share, and signed licenses.
- New market development: Open new integrator, OEM, and operator relationships; secure live demonstrations at military installations and test facilities.
- Federal and defense engagement: Navigate federal funding vehicles, agency programs, and prime contractor partnerships to bring anti-jamming technology into government solutions.
- Account planning and follow-through: Build account plans, own action items after every customer meeting, and coordinate technical sessions between customer teams and engineering.
- Executive partnership: Partner with the CEO on strategic accounts and take over account management once introductions are made.
- Voice of the customer: Capture customer requirements and work with engineering leadership and the CEO to prioritize features and shape the roadmap.
- Sales enablement content: Draft product definitions, data sheets, one-page briefs, and presentations, with design support from the marketing lead and agency partner.
