Network Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience to design, implement, maintain, and optimize secure, highly available enterprise network infrastructure.

This position offers the opportunity to work within a large-scale technology environment supporting complex LAN/WAN networks, cloud networking, hybrid infrastructure, network security, software-defined networking (SD-WAN), and enterprise connectivity solutions .

The Network Engineer will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, IT Operations, Systems Engineering, and Architecture teams to maintain reliable connectivity across enterprise applications, data centers, cloud environments, and distributed business operations.

The ideal candidate brings advanced knowledge of Cisco networking, routing and switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, firewalls, VPN technologies, network troubleshooting, and cloud connectivity , combined with a strong understanding of network performance, security, scalability, and operational reliability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Manage and optimize LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN connectivity solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and network appliances.
• Implement and support routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and static routing , along with VLANs, subnetting, and network segmentation.
• Monitor network availability, latency, throughput, capacity, and overall performance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex Layer 2, Layer 3, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity issues .
• Support secure network connectivity across AWS, Azure, GCP, and enterprise data center environments.
• Implement network security controls, firewall policies, access control lists, and secure remote-access solutions.
• Maintain network monitoring, alerting, configuration backups, and disaster-recovery procedures.
• Perform network upgrades, configuration changes, firmware updates, and infrastructure improvements.
• Develop and maintain network topology diagrams, configuration documentation, and technical procedures.
• Support network automation and infrastructure management using Python, Ansible, Terraform , or comparable technologies.
• Collaborate with Security and Infrastructure teams to investigate incidents and improve network resilience.
• Participate in technical design reviews and provide guidance on enterprise networking standards.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Network Engineering, Network Infrastructure, or Enterprise Networking required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and network protocols .
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and enterprise networking technologies .
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting BGP, OSPF, VPNs, firewalls, and enterprise WAN connectivity .
• Strong understanding of network security, segmentation, access controls, and secure connectivity.
• Experience with enterprise firewall platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower , or comparable technologies.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, wireless networking, load balancing, and high-availability network architectures .
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, ThousandEyes , or equivalent platforms.
• Understanding of AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, cloud VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute , or comparable cloud-networking services.
• Experience with network automation, scripting, or Infrastructure as Code is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices, incident management, change management, and enterprise network operations.
• CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, PCNSE , or comparable industry certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
