Job Description
We’re a growing small business creating collectible cards inspired by the amazing, weird, wonderful world of animals — and we’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to join the adventure.
This isn’t a role where you’ll be stuck doing the same thing every day. You’ll work directly with the CEO and Marketing Director, getting involved in pretty much every part of the business. One day you might be planning a social media campaign, the next you could be helping launch a new card collection, researching animals, or figuring out how to get more people excited about our brand.
If you’re creative, curious, organised and happy to roll up your sleeves, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll have a finger in lots of different pies, including:
- Social media — creating content, coming up with ideas, scheduling posts and helping grow our community.
- Creative marketing — helping develop campaigns, competitions, launches and fun ideas that get people talking.
- Email — being the first point of contact for new customers, helping create newsletters and campaigns that customers actually want to open.
- Product launches — getting involved from idea to launch and helping make new collections a success.
- Research & trends — keeping an eye on what customers love, what’s happening in the collectibles world and what the internet is currently talking about.
- Partnerships & collaborations — helping us find interesting people, brands, creators and animal organisations to work with.
- General business stuff — because we’re a small, growing company, there will always be something interesting happening. You’ll get exposure to areas well beyond traditional marketing.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to know everything. In fact, we’d much rather have someone who is excited to learn and develop into the role.
You might be a great fit if you:
- Have a creative brain and enjoy coming up with ideas.
- Understand social media and digital marketing (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit)
- Are organised and can keep track of lots of moving parts.
- Aren’t afraid to get stuck in and do whatever needs doing.
- Can work independently but also enjoy bouncing ideas around.
- Have a good eye for what looks and sounds exciting.
- Love animals — obviously a big plus!
- Have a genuine interest in building something rather than simply completing a list of tasks.
Why this role is a little different
You’ll be joining at an exciting stage.
We’re a small business with big ambitions, which means you won’t be a tiny cog in a giant marketing machine. You’ll be close to the action and have the opportunity to see your ideas go from “What if we tried this?” to “Look, it worked!”
You’ll also get a broad introduction to what it actually takes to grow a modern product business — from marketing and e-commerce to product development, customer experience, partnerships and everything in between.
If you’re looking for a varied role where you can learn quickly, make a real impact and help build a fun brand from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.
