Job Description
ABOUT US
Success, Health and Happiness is a new life coaching business built around YouTube content, a comprehensive package for supporting people to coach themselves, and drawing on the book of the same name (successhealthandhappiness.com). The founders already run other successful businesses and are now building this one. There are currently two of us working on it, and we need a third person as soon as possible to help with a growing workload.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
We have scripted several videos and recorded a few, with many more in the pipeline. Our bottleneck is getting them finished and published while we also run our other businesses. Your main objective is simple: get our videos onto YouTube, consistently and on schedule.
We are not looking for a specialist camera operator or editor. We are looking for an intelligent, objective-focused person who can turn their hand to whatever is needed to get the job done.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Production
- Receive new scripts from the team and chase the next one when the pipeline runs low
- Organise and run shoots: book time, assist with setting up simple camera and lighting, and recording the presenter
- Source props for b-roll and coordinate the model who appears in it
- Help with basic video editing and creating a range of thumbnail options from the footage (guidance will be given)
Publishing and growth
- Upload and schedule videos on YouTube, including titles, descriptions and tags
- Track each video’s performance (views, click-through rate, watch time) and review the numbers with the team
- Cut short clips from full-length videos and categorise them in our content system
- Turn videos into written text using transcription and AI tools
Customers
- Coordinate our weekly webinar for customers
- Speak with customers and pass on what you learn
As a small team, everyone also helps with whatever moves the business forward.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- A steady publishing schedule of 1 or 2 videos per week
- A backlog of scripts recorded ahead of schedule
- Weekly webinars running smoothly
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Character and attitude matter more to us than experience. You will:
- Learn quickly and be comfortable working things out for yourself
- Take ownership of a goal and drive it forward, while also taking direction well
- Be highly organised and able to juggle several tasks at once
- Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and in person
- Be confident with computers and quick to pick up new software
- Be excited about helping build a new business, with a genuine interest in self-development
TRAINING AND GUIDANCE CAN BE PROVIDED FOR
- Filming and simple lighting
- Video editing and thumbnail creation
- YouTube publishing and analytics
- Webinar organisation
- Summarising transcripts and using AI tools
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Able to work from home and on site in SN6 8PW and surrounding area
- Full UK driving licence and your own car, as the role involves travelling to shoots and collecting props
