Position: : ServiceNow Developer with strong ITOM Exp

Location: Remote

Duration: Contract to Hire

Job Description:

• You should have strong experience working on ServiceNow with a strong focus on ITOM modules.
• Hands-on expertise in: ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB Architecture and Governance, Event Management, MID Server management
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, Regex, PowerShell/Python/Shell scripting .
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure components— servers, apps, databases, load balancers, cloud services, network devices .

Responsibilities:

ITOM Implementation & Configuration:

• Implement and configure ServiceNow Discovery, including credentials, probes, patterns, and sensors .
• Deploy and optimize Service Mapping using a Pattern-Based / Top-Down approach.
• Configure Event Management, including alert rules, correlation rules, and health dashboards .
• Manage MID Servers— installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and distributed architecture design.
• Support the implementation of Orchestration / Flow Designer for workflow automation.

CMDB & Data Quality Management:

• Maintain and enhance CMDB structure, CI classes, relationships, and identifiers .
• Implement and manage CMDB health KPIs—Completeness, Correctness, Compliance .
• Configure Identification & Reconciliation (IRE) and transform maps.

Integrations & Infrastructure Knowledge:

• Integrate ITOM with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Splunk, Zabbix, Nagios, etc .
• Troubleshoot integration failures, discovery gaps, and event anomalies .
• Collaborate with network, cloud, application, and server teams for end-to-end service mapping and CI validation.
• Possess a good understanding of networking, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP basics), Linux/Windows servers, and enterprise infrastructure.

Operations & Support:

• Monitor and optimize ITOM operations—Discovery schedules, event load, service map accuracy.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management activities related to ITOM .
• Prepare documentation, KB articles, and conduct user training for operational teams.
