Java Developer

We are working with a government agency responsible for national security and immigration on an exciting project. This organisation uses cutting-edge technology to deliver critical services and protect its citizens.

The Role

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and scalable Java applications
• Build and enhance Spring Boot/Spring MVC/Spring Data solutions
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Work with relational databases and SQL to manage and retrieve data
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues, ensuring high performance
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, and fellow developers on project goals

What You’ll Need

• Strong commercial experience with Java (SE/EE) and the Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot
• Proven experience developing REST APIs and microservices
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
• Familiarity with build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle
