Most job posts will tell you they’re “changing the world.” We’re just teaching computers how to see it first.

Moondream builds vision AI that understands the physical world. The messy, analog, real one outside your browser tabs. We’re the infrastructure layer for a future where cameras are as useful as keyboards, and “just take a picture of it” actually solves problems. The coolest applications haven’t been invented yet, and we want to make sure they can all see.

What we need from you

You’re the kind of engineer who cares deeply about the 4px of padding that makes an interface feel right. You write code that works, but you also write code that makes users think “oh, that’s nice” without quite knowing why.

You Should Probably Apply If

• You can look at a mockup and immediately spot three ways to make it better
• You’ve built things with Next.js, AWS, Cloudflare, or similar, but more importantly, you pick up whatever’s next stupidly fast
• You have opinions about design, UX, and product decisions (and aren’t afraid to argue for them)
• You’ve shipped things you’re genuinely proud of

You Should Definitely Not Apply If

• You need detailed specs for every semicolon before you can start building
• You think “good enough” is actually good enough when it comes to user experience
• Remote work is non-negotiable (we’re in-person in San Francisco because the hard problems get solved at the whiteboard, not on Slack)

What you’ll actually do

• Build the interfaces that make vision AI feel obvious to use
• Own features end-to-end, from “what if we…” conversations to deployed code
• Make technical decisions that shape how developers and users experience our platform every day
• Probably debate the merits of various design systems at lunch

• Location: San Francisco, CA (in-person)
• Stack: Next.js, AWS, Cloudflare, TypeScript, and whatever else makes sense for the problem at hand
• Compensation: $130k–$160k + meaningful equity
