Role Description This is a full-time Content Writer role based in Hauz Khas, operating in a hybrid model with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Content Writer will research and develop clear, engaging content on defense, national security, and international relations for books, reports, articles, and digital platforms. Daily responsibilities include drafting and refining manuscripts, web content, and marketing copy, as well as collaborating with editors, designers, and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity. The role involves proofreading and revising content for quality, consistency, and adherence to editorial guidelines, along with supporting content planning and publication timelines. The Content Writer will also stay updated on current events and trends in relevant domains to inform and strengthen ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Strong Writing and Web Content Writing skills to produce clear, structured, and engaging text across print and digital formats.
• Ability to develop and support Content Strategy, aligning content with organizational goals and audience needs.
• Proficiency in Research to gather, verify, and synthesize information from credible sources, especially in defense and international affairs.
• Excellent Proofreading and attention to detail to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to house style.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong command of written English, with the ability to explain complex topics in accessible language.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Hauz Khas, with the ability to manage time and meet deadlines independently.
• Interest or prior experience in defense studies, public policy, or strategic affairs is highly desirable.
