Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automation & AI Developer for a 10-month remote contract in Austin, TX. This is a fully remote, telework position. Hours are 8 hours per day and must include 9:00 am to 3:30 pm Central Time.

Responsibilities:

The contractor will design, develop, test, document, and support automation solutions that improve business processes, integrate systems, and reduce manual effort.

Responsibilities include developing workflow automations and custom applications, troubleshooting production issues, maintaining technical documentation, and occasionally collaborating with business stakeholders.

The contractor will apply AI-assisted development techniques, including prompt-driven code generation, code review, testing, and validation of AI-generated solutions, to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality, security, and maintainability.

The role includes building and consuming APIs, integrating enterprise systems, developing software with Python and .NET (including containerized and distributed applications using Docker and Nomad), building solutions with automation tools (preferably Power Platform), translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions, and working independently with limited technical direction on moderately complex assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 8 years of experience developing software solutions using Python and .NET technologies

· 8 years of experience integrating systems with enterprise applications and APIs

· 5 years of experience re-engineering manual workflows into automated workflow systems

· 5 years of experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders on technical solution evaluation or adoption

· 3 years of experience developing workflows using tools such as Power Automate

· 2 years of experience developing and optimizing prompts, instructions, and grounding strategies for AI systems

· 2 years of experience using AI-assisted development practices, including prompt-driven programming and validation

Preferred Qualifications:

· 2 years of previous experience building complex Power Platform solutions leveraging Power Automate, Power Apps, or Copilot Studio

· 2 years of previous experience designing multi-agent, orchestration, or event-driven architectures

· 2 years of previous experience developing agentic infrastructure, including retrieval systems, orchestration frameworks, and MCP integrations
