Meet the team:

Our client is a multi-disciplinary team of user experience designers, industrial designers, visual designers, user researchers, and instructional designers. Their passion for the products comes from our passion for the people (including team members) who use our products each day to take control of their health. This role reports to a Senior Manager of UX Design as a member of the Global Product Design team. Passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. Build delightful and accessible products that display data and insights across multiple platforms. Follow the principles of user-centric design thinking to make data meaningful and actionable for users.

With this role, you’ll be part of the team focused on platform, internal tools, and product support for the entire product portfolio. You’ll design experiences that help patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers access the client ecosystem successfully, navigate it easily, and find support effortlessly. You’ll work with a variety of stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Affairs, User Research, and Human Factors from design concept to approvals and delivery.

• You will help shape what’s next by partnering with product managers, fellow designers, and engineers to define both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for our products and services.
• You will be a voice for design by helping us drive the vision for the look, feel, and interactions in client products, and communicate that vision to the rest of the company.
• You will push forward new design ideas proactively and take ownership of tasks that impact the entire product portfolio of client apps and internal tools.
• You will be a champion for the user by immersing yourself in patient, caregiver, and healthcare provider experiences and help tell the varied and diverse stories of these users as you work to improve their experiences with client products. Likewise, you’ll be a champion for your colleagues as you work to improve their experiences with internal tools.
• You will positively influence our design culture by building up our teams, departments, and company through words and actions.

• A great fit for this role is a designer who may not know everything there is to know about the experience of managing diabetes, but through research and curiosity can form metaphors for the tasks managing diabetes involves that resonate with users, visually and conceptually. Your job is to take usually complex information, workflows, and concepts and transform them into delightful experiences that resonate with users.
• You have advanced knowledge and experience designing for both web and native mobile apps.
• We’d love for the person in this role to understand the challenges of building products that need to serve responsive web, iOS, and Android platforms while speaking one holistic design language.
• Your job is to work with design systems, Material Design, and iOS Human Interface Guidelines to craft consistent, high-quality experiences across our products.
