Assistant Software Engineer

Role Description The Assistant Software Engineer role at LingoLive, Inc. is a part-time, remote position supporting the design, development, and maintenance of web-based applications and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing back-end features, writing clean and efficient code, assisting in debugging and resolving issues, and participating in code reviews. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers to translate technical requirements into working software, updating documentation, and contributing to testing and quality assurance activities. The Assistant Software Engineer will also help optimize performance and ensure reliability of systems used by learners and enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Must have experience with Base44, IOS, Android, AWS
• Hands-on experience with Software Development and Programming, with the ability to write clear, maintainable code in at least one modern programming language.
• Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in production code.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
• Currently pursuing or having completed a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in education, language learning, or building tools that support global and diverse users is a plus.
