Jimmy Garcia Catering is bringing a little Alpine magic to Somerset House this Christmas — and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Assistant General Manager to join us.

Nestled in the heart of London, The Chalet is a festive Alpine-inspired pop-up serving indulgent raclette, seasonal dishes made with artisan British produce, and warming festive drinks.

We’re looking for a hands-on hospitality professional to lead our FOH operation through the Christmas season, creating a warm, memorable experience for every guest.

The Role

As Restaurant Manager, you’ll be the on-site lead for service, team performance and day-to-day operations.

You’ll:

• Lead, motivate and support the FOH team throughout service.
• Work closely with the kitchen, bar and events teams to deliver seamless service.
• Maintain high standards of guest experience, cleanliness, Health & Safety and food hygiene.
• Oversee bookings through OpenTable, managing table flow, occupancy and guest enquiries.
• Support stock control, ordering, sales reporting and GP management.
• Coordinate dietary requirements and allergies with the kitchen and events teams.
• Act as a key contact for private dining and exclusive events.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years manager experience in a busy restaurant, bar or events environment.
• Experience leading teams and managing high-volume service.
• A confident, hands-on and people-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• A sharp eye for detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Understanding of KPIs and commercial performance.
• Knowledge of London’s restaurant and pop-up scene.

Pay: From £16.00 per hour
