Role Description The Sales Design Consultant is a contract, remote role responsible for guiding clients through the selection of custom window treatments that align with their style, functional needs, and budget. Day-to-day tasks include conducting virtual or phone consultations, assessing client spaces through photos or measurements, and recommending appropriate blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, and exterior solutions. The consultant will prepare quotes, present design options and product samples, and follow up with clients to answer questions and support decision-making. This role also includes maintaining accurate records in the CRM, coordinating with installation partners as needed, and contributing to a positive, service-focused client experience. The consultant is expected to balance sales goals with thoughtful, client-centered design recommendations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on empathy, clear communication, and relationship building.
• Proven sales skills in consultative selling, upselling, and closing deals while maintaining client trust.
• Interior design skills, including space planning, color coordination, and understanding of design styles.
• Knowledge of furniture and furnishings, including how window treatments integrate with existing décor.
• Familiarity with window treatment products (blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, exterior shading) is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple client engagements, and meet deadlines.
• Comfort using digital tools for virtual consultations, measurements, proposals, and CRM documentation.
• Previous experience in residential or commercial design, home décor, or related sales roles preferred.
• Reliable internet connectivity and a professional home workspace suitable for client-facing communications.
