Job Description

Strategy & Organisation Design Consultant

**£40,000 - £45,000 Permanent Fully Remote UK + Client Travel**

Strategy / Organisation Design / Operating Models / Transformation / Consulting / Stakeholder Management / Excel / PowerPoint

Searchability is recruiting for a growing consulting and technology business that works with private and public sector organisations across strategy, organisational design and leadership.

This is an opportunity for a Consultant with 2+ years’ professional services or consulting experience who wants to move away from the layers of a larger consultancy and take greater ownership of client work.

You will work directly with senior leaders and partners, run your own workstreams and contribute to projects spanning strategy, organisation design, operating models and transformation. You will also gain exposure to an innovative AI platform being used to support real-world strategic decision-making.

The role

You will:

  • Run day-to-day workstreams across strategy, organisation design, leadership and transformation engagements.
  • Structure complex and ambiguous business problems and turn research and analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Assess organisational structures, operating models, processes and leadership arrangements.
  • Help clients design improved organisational and operating structures.
  • Translate strategy into practical and actionable implementation plans.
  • Build client-ready reports, presentations and strategic storylines.
  • Facilitate workshops and conduct stakeholder interviews.
  • Build relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Use an AI-powered strategy platform as part of live consulting engagements.
  • Provide feedback that helps shape how the technology develops and is used by consultants.
  • Identify follow-on opportunities with existing clients.
  • Contribute to proposals, new business conversations and the continued growth of the consulting practice.
  • Help develop reusable consulting methodologies, tools and intellectual property.

What we’re looking for

You should have:

  • 2+ years’ experience within a consultancy or professional services environment.
  • Hands-on experience delivering projects across strategy, organisation design, operating models and/or transformation .
  • Experience owning or running elements of client engagements or individual workstreams.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities.
  • The ability to structure ambiguous problems and identify the key commercial or organisational implications.
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and conducting stakeholder interviews.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • A 2:1 degree or above in any discipline.
  • UK right to work without requiring sponsorship.

Desirable experience

Any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Big 4, strategy consultancy, management consultancy or specialist organisation/people consulting experience.
  • Financial modelling, business case or cost-benefit modelling experience.
  • Leadership development consulting.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Systems or complexity thinking.
  • An interest in AI and how technology is changing consulting and strategic decision-making .
  • Experience contributing to proposals or identifying additional client opportunities.

Why join?

This is particularly well suited to someone who has learned the foundations of consulting within a larger organisation but now wants more ownership, variety and direct client exposure .

You’ll work directly with the firm’s partners rather than through multiple layers of management and have the opportunity to:

  • Own meaningful client work from an early stage.
  • Run your own workstreams rather than simply supporting them.
  • Work across strategy, organisation design and leadership projects.
  • Work directly with senior client stakeholders.
  • Help shape a growing consulting practice.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to AI being deployed within real consulting engagements.
  • Influence both consulting methodologies and the technology supporting them.
