DevOps Engineer

**DevOps Engineer (AWS, Kubernetes) Remote, US**

You’ll run the AWS infrastructure behind millions of transactions a day. You’ll own the pipelines, monitoring and resilience that keep it secure and available, and work closely with engineering teams to make shipping software faster and safer.

The essentials

• $135,000 to $165,000 base, plus performance bonuses
• Fully remote, US-based

DevOps Engineer - What you’ll do:

• Automate and manage AWS environments using infrastructure as code
• Run and optimise CI/CD pipelines and release engineering workflows
• Design and enforce disaster recovery and high availability strategies using AWS-native services
• Build and maintain the metrics, logging and monitoring stack
• Harden services and operating systems, and build security scanning into the pipeline
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across environments, and document what you learn for the wider team

DevOps Engineer - What you’ll need:

Essential:

• Hands-on AWS experience building and managing highly scalable infrastructure
• Kubernetes for service orchestration and deployment
• CI/CD in distributed environments, for example Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins or Spinnaker
• Infrastructure as code and scripting: Terraform, plus Python or Bash
• Monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or Datadog
• DevSecOps experience, including shift-left security and integrating security scanners into CI/CD

Nice to have:

• CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
• Bitbucket or GitHub, plus Jira and Confluence
• Explaining technical trade-offs in plain language to non-technical colleagues
• Experience working with international teams
