About the Role

Amodis Tech is looking for a hands-on Remote Senior Full-Stack Developer, on our hospitality technology platform.

This is a full-stack role covering both web and Windows desktop development.

The developer will work across C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Angular, WPF, SQL Server, APIs, and Microsoft Azure.

You will build new features, maintain existing applications, troubleshoot production issues, review other developers’ work, and help develop software that communicates with external systems and hardware.

We are looking for someone who can understand an entire workflow rather than working only on one small part of an application.

Required Core Skills

Candidates must have hands-on professional experience with all four of the following:

C# / .NET

Strong experience with:

• C#
• .NET / .NET Core

• Application architecture

Angular

Strong experience developing production web applications using:

• Angular
• TypeScript
• Angular components and services
• Reactive forms

• Authentication and authorization
• HTML and CSS

Candidates should be comfortable independently making frontend changes rather than relying on a separate frontend developer.

WPF

WPF is a required skill for this position.

Candidates should have hands-on experience developing Windows desktop applications using:

• WPF
• XAML
• C#
• MVVM
• Data binding
• Commands
• Events
• Background/asynchronous processing
• Windows application debugging
• Logging and exception handling

Experience integrating WPF applications with APIs, local services, databases, USB devices, scanners, serial devices, or other external hardware is highly desirable.

Candidates should be prepared during the interview to explain specific WPF applications or features they personally developed.

ASP.NET Core / Web API

Strong experience with:

• ASP.NET Core Web API

SQL Server

Candidates should be comfortable working directly with Microsoft SQL Server, including:

• Database design

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new features across Angular, .NET and WPF applications
• Build and maintain REST APIs using ASP.NET Core
• Develop and maintain Windows desktop applications using WPF
• Develop Angular components, pages and services
• Work with SQL Server databases and optimize queries
• Integrate desktop and web applications with external APIs and systems
• Troubleshoot production issues across desktop applications, web applications, APIs and databases
• Investigate customer-reported problems and identify root causes
• Review pull requests and code submitted by other developers
• Write maintainable and well-documented code
• Create automated tests for important functionality
• Participate in planning and estimation of new features
• Help improve application security, performance and reliability
• Assist with deployment and release processes
• Document technical decisions and application behavior

Windows / Hardware Integration

Amodis Tech develops Windows applications that interact with identity scanning and other external hardware.

Experience in any of the following is highly valuable:

• USB device communication
• HID devices
• Serial / COM communication
• Scanner integration
• Device drivers
• PC/SC
• Windows Services
• Local network communication
• Hardware SDK integration
• Reading and processing data from external devices

Hardware experience is preferred, but strong WPF development experience is required.

Microsoft Azure

Candidates should have experience with or an understanding of Microsoft Azure.
