Staff Engineer- Web (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Engineer- Web (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space.

This role will provide technical leadership across multiple teams, helping shape scalable web experiences that support customer-facing digital commerce initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong system-level thinking to architectural challenges, partner closely with architects, product, and engineering stakeholders, and help drive engineering effectiveness across the organization. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to influence technical direction, improve reliability, and scale solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across multiple teams to achieve unified outcomes
• Apply system-level thinking to resolve architectural challenges with scalable solutions
• Proactively assess and mitigate technical risks to ensure product reliability
• Champion engineering effectiveness through best practices, optimizing workflows, and mentoring
• Build rapid prototypes to align with product strategy and scale solutions through stakeholder agreement
• Identify and implement technical solutions for cross-organizational use
• Collaborate with architects to create architecture diagrams and documentation for security reviews

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on software development experience with React, Next.js, or similar frameworks
• Mastery in JavaScript and TypeScript
• 4+ years mentoring and directing developers
• 4+ years designing and architecting customer-facing eCommerce applications
