About The Role As a Technical Writer at Cognizant, you will play a vital role in supporting the company’s core banking products by creating, maintaining, and delivering high-quality technical documentation. Your work will enable clients to effectively implement, maintain, and utilize banking solutions, ensuring smooth operational workflows and enhanced user experience. You will be an integral part of the product documentation team, collaborating closely with product managers, software development teams, subject matter experts, and technical leadership to produce comprehensive and accurate documentation. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute effectively from any location.

In this position, you will develop and maintain various types of technical content, including release notes, online help content, user guides, and installation manuals. You will review product enhancements and requirements to identify necessary updates, ensuring all documentation remains current and precise. Your ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language will be crucial in supporting product adoption and customer satisfaction. Managing multiple documentation projects simultaneously while adhering to release schedules and project milestones will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Regular stakeholder engagement will ensure alignment and transparency regarding documentation progress and priorities, contributing to successful product launches.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience as a Technical Writer creating software, product, or technical documentation
• Knowledge of core banking systems, financial services applications, or banking operations and principles
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Experience collaborating with software development teams, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with documentation and collaboration tools such as Jira, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including release notes, online help, user guides, and installation manuals for core banking products
• Review product enhancements and requirements to identify documentation updates and ensure content accuracy
• Partner with development teams and subject matter experts to gather technical information and translate complex concepts into clear documentation
