About Skills for Life

Skills for Life is a Canadian nonprofit organization that supports youth through life-skills development, mentorship, career exploration, leadership opportunities, and community programming.

We are looking for a Volunteer SEO & Web Support Coordinator to support our digital marketing and website efforts.

This is an unpaid volunteer position with a nonprofit organization.

What You’ll Support

You’ll work with our Marketing & Communications team on projects including:

• Reviewing and improving website SEO
• Conducting keyword research and identifying opportunities to improve search visibility
• Updating page titles, meta descriptions, headings, links, and website content
• Supporting basic website updates and troubleshooting
• Helping improve website structure, usability, and performance
• Monitoring website traffic and search performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console
• Supporting Google Ads and Google Ad Grant campaigns where needed
• Reviewing campaign performance and helping identify areas for improvement
• Coordinating with the Marketing & Communications lead on digital campaigns and website priorities
• Documenting updates and recommendations so our digital systems remain organized

Who We’re Looking For

You may be a good fit if you have experience or knowledge in one or more of the following:

• Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Google Analytics
• Google Search Console
• Google Ads
• Google Ad Grants
• WordPress or other website content management systems
• Basic website development or maintenance
• HTML/CSS
• Digital marketing
• Website analytics and reporting

You do not need to have advanced experience in every area. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with websites and digital marketing and is interested in helping strengthen our nonprofit’s online presence.

Time Commitment

Approximately 5–10 hours per week, with some flexibility depending on projects.

We are ideally looking for someone who can commit for at least 3 months.

Location

This is a fully remote volunteer opportunity.

Skills for Life is based in Canada, and we are currently prioritizing volunteers located in Ontario or who are available to collaborate during Eastern Time Zone working hours.

There is no requirement to attend a physical office.

What to Expect

You will work directly with the Marketing & Communications lead and support active website, SEO, analytics, and digital marketing projects.

Projects will be assigned based on your experience, strengths, and current organizational priorities.
