We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role involves supporting the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in data entry and processing accounts payable. Duties
- Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or QuickBooks
- Enter financial data accurately into systems like Workday and other relevant platforms
- Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports as required
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation
- Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or queries
- Assist with general administrative tasks related to finance operations
- Contribute to process improvements within the finance team to enhance efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software including Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or Workday
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services industry standards
- Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Previous experience working with accounting platforms such as Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is desirable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and professional attitude
